The festival of football is into its third year, with Yemen and West Indies through to Sunday's final
The World In One City Football tournament has returned for its third year and has offered plenty of drama at Jericho Lane sports centre in Otterspool.
Created by Imad Ali, the tournament is an intra-city world cup made up of nations from all over the globe. Teams are formed of players from different countries combined with Scousers with heritage from outside of the UK.
Nations competing this year included, Yemen, West Indies, Somali Team, Guinea Bissau, Rest of the World, Congo, Nigeria, Ghana, Brazil, England, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Poland, Libya and Bangladesh. The final takes place later today at Jericho Lane sports centre between Yemen and West Indies.

In recent weeks, the tournament has showcased individual brilliance, improbable goals and national pride. Pitch invasions and pyrotechnics haven’t been in short supply either with the tournament creating amazing scenes of celebration.
