An air ambulance landed in a park as police surrounded a cemetery this morning.
Emergency services responded to an incident in Anfield at around 10.50am on Sunday (January 22) as an air ambulance was seen landing in Stanley Park. Witnesses described seeing numerous police cars and fire engines surrounding Anfield Cemetery on Priory Road.
Merseyside Police said they were called to reports of a concern for safety of a man at the cemetery. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

Police said in a statement: "We can confirm that emergency services responded to an incident in Anfield this morning, Sunday 22 January.
"At around 10.50am we received a report of a concern for safety of a male at Anfield Cemetery. The man was taken to hospital with his serious injuries, not believed to be life threatening."
