Liverpool's city centre Primark is set to open its doors today after a huge revamp – and we're here to give you all the details as it happens.

After a massive £3m extension to the store, Primark promises to give shoppers 'more variety' with a new layout and two new additions to the store. Shoppers will now be able to enjoy a Greggs at the new Greggs café, and snap up some vintage bargains too.

Primark’s Home department will move from a small section on the top floor to its own dedicated space on the ground floor. This means there will now be more space for its two popular 'Kids' and 'Women's' departments.

The store is also welcoming a Tasty by Greggs café on the second floor and a WornWell by the Vintage Company on the lower ground floor. The café will allow shoppers to stop and have a snack while browsing, with the WornWell store offering an array of vintage bargains.

The store will also host a free clothing repair workshop

The revamped store will also host upcoming free clothing repair workshops on Tuesday 11 July. Hosted by fashion designer Lorraine Mitchell, the workshop will focus on basic repair techniques including sewing hacks to empower people to repair and re-wear their clothes.

Those taking part will also be given a reusable tote bag and a sewing kit to use at home. Places are limited so those interested are encouraged to register.

Who's ready?

Primark Liverpool store manager Chris Cassidy said: “Since opening our doors in 2007, Primark Liverpool quickly became one of our most popular stores in the country. Now, with the extension, it becomes our sixth biggest in terms of space too. We’ve seen that our local customers love our Home range, so I’m thrilled that we’ve been able to expand the store to give them more of what they love. The additional space will give customers an overall improved shopping experience, whilst the arrival of Greggs and WornWell – two of our most popular partnerships – means they’re in for a treat when they next visit. We can’t wait to see what they think!"
