A road has been sealed off by police after a man was attacked in the street.
Merseyside Police were called to Park Road at the junction of Northumberland Street in Toxteth at 7.22pm on Wednesday, May 24, following reports of an assault. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a man, believed to be in his 30s, injured in the street.
It's reported the man was attacked. The North West Ambulance Service was called to the scene and the man was taken to hospital.

A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said the man has injuries that were not life threatening. A cordon was put in place on the road with eyewitnesses describing a "heavy" police presence in the area.
Police crime scene investigators were seen outside the cordon wearing white forensic suits. The cordon was reduced to the pavement surrounding a black of flats at the junction of Northumberland Street and Park Road.
No arrests have been made at this time.
