A three-week warm spell is set to hit the UK this week.
Forecasters expect to see spring conditions across the UK from Friday, May 19 with the mercury nudging 20C thanks to a high pressure ridge. The warm spell is expected to last three weeks and could extend over most of the country.
The high pressure ridge will improve conditions, according to the Met Office, with Brits set to pack out beaches over the weekend, the Mirror reports.

A Met Office spokesman said: “A high-pressure ridge is most likely to extend across the UK, resulting in a good amount of fine and dry weather for most.
“Temperatures most likely above average overall, although most likely closer to average in the southeast.
“Into June, high pressure is predicted to remain dominant, especially for northern areas, with cloud, rain and showers more likely to the south, although there is a level of uncertainty associated with this.
"An increased likelihood of above average temperatures for many.”
