A child has died in a play park in South Yorkshire and police have launched an investigation.
Emergency services including police and the ambulance service were called to Clifton Park on Doncaster Road in Rotherham at around 4pm on Sunday, April 9. Locals reported seeing a large amount of police activity and an area cordoned-off by officers.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance medics also rushed to the scene but the child tragically died despite their best efforts, MirrorOnline reports.

A police spokesperson reportedly confirmed the child's death is not being treated as suspicious.
The Mirror has contacted South Yorkshire Police for comment.
