A hairdresser has shared the things that her clients do that give her the 'ick'.

Taking to TikTok, Sarah (@slkbleachexpert) shared the most common 'icks' she experiences with clients at her salon. The scalp bleaching specialist said the most problematic thing a client can do is judge a hairdresser for their appearance, reports BirminghamLive.

Sarah told her 8,000 followers: "If you, the client, choose to come into the salon in a tracksuit with greasy hair, great. (…) But if me, the stylist, turns up to work in a tracksuit with my hair like this then somehow that means I've got no idea what I'm doing, even though my clothing and hairstyle have absolutely nothing to do with my skill set and capability."

Next up the hairstylist blasted salons and clients that "airbrush" their "perfect after shots" following the haircut. She said: "All this fake b*******. It's a no from me. Nobody looks like that in real life."

Also on Sarah's list are other hairstylists that don't share their tricks of the trade. She said: "Stylists that gatekeep. When I say 'hey, what's that formula the colour's gorgeous' I’m not asking you for a kidney."

Sarah also slammed clients who ask for a "blue black hair colour". She said: "No, it’s just a bit Halloween wig vibes. (…) The whole, is it blue, is it black game. I’m over it, that's old news."

One of Sarah’s main "icks" are "undercuts". She told fans: "I can tell you from experience as someone who has had many an undercut in her time, the amount of time it takes to grow that out…babe it’s not worth it."

She also told clients who have backcombed their hair to "put the brush down". She added: "All that’s going to happen is that when you try to brush it out it’s just going to break. If you want your hair to be long and healthy, buy some rollers, stop backcombing it."

Sarah also dislikes the "2000's trend" that is diamante hair studs pressed into the hair. Also on the ick list is the "no poo" method, where clients use conditioner on their hair but no shampoo.

She added: "That’s like, ‘I'm not going to wash my body, I'm just going to moisturise it. It's not clean. The scalp needs the natural oils and product build-up to be removed to keep the scalp and the hair follicles healthy."
