A teenage boy has reportedly been 'stabbed in the head' in St Helens.
Merseyside Police confirmed officers received a call at around 7.46pm to Westfield Street in St Helens following reports a 15-year-old had been "stabbed in the head". However the circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet clear.
The force incident manager confirmed a teenager suffered "head injuries" but has "not been assisting" officers.

North West Ambulance Service has also been called and is at the scene currently. According to traffic monitoring network Inrix, the road is currently closed in both directions.
It reads: "Westfield Street in both directions closed due to police incident from Cotham Street to A58 Linkway West (Tesco/Cineworld traffic lights). Traffic is coping well."
