Buying a house can be a long and stressful process for many people, but not for everyone.
Blaise Venus, 28, from West Wirral, found the experience a breeze when purchasing her home in September 2018.
The ECHO's Where I Live series explores one property from across the region each week, with its owner giving us an insight into what makes a house a home.

Blaise told the ECHO: "We were really lucky when we were buying because we weren’t in a chain and the lady we bought from had already moved out so it was a pretty easy process.
"I actually got the phone call to exchange when I was away and holiday, it was strange to come back to a new home."
Blaise said she was first attracted to the property's "lovely" traditional Victorian features, including high ceilings, original fireplaces, ceiling roses and coving. She added: "I was always going to persuaded with features like that.
Five years after moving in, the house is now an explosion of colour, although Blaise admits she "played it safe" initially.
"When we first moved in by painting everything white, using it as our canvas slowly adding colour to each room and over time I have got braver with colour combinations.
"I was on furlough during lockdown and had nothing better to do than decorate and redecorate! I think we changed our bedroom three times in that time. I don’t like to stick to a particular style I like an eclectic mix and I find it usually all comes together.
"I love the creative process, when we first moved in I had hundreds of mood boards on Pinterest but as I’ve become more confident with colour I now just I like to crack on and see how it all evolves."
The entrance hall to the home has retained its historic charm, with stained-glass windows and period flooring. However, as you move through the rooms they're full of personality.
The interior includes loud wallpaper and rich, complementing colours, ornate rugs and statement furniture pieces.
The rear space has also been transformed into a 'yarden' oasis, full of vibrancy.
Blaise counts John Lewis among her favourite places to shop for interiors, as well as Oliver Bonas for its "funky colourful glasses and plant pots".
She added: "H&M home is probably my favourite though because it’s affordable and has lots of quirky pieces. I can’t go into town without picking something up from there."
