Eurovision is getting closer and closer each day. Earlier in the week, thousands of eager fans leaped at the chance to bag tickets to take them to the Grand Final and the eight other Eurovision shows, including semi-finals, due to be held in the city in May.

Mae Muller and her song "I Wrote a Song" have now been announced as the UK's representatives who will be trying to bring glory back home. She's got big boots to fill after Sam Ryder's sensational second place at last year's competition.

But most people watching Eurovision aren't doing it to watch their country win, but rather to enjoy the mad and exciting spirit of the competition so well known for its wild performances and eccentric acts, many of which have gone down in history as some of pop culture's greatest moments.

See how well you remember them with our quiz on Eurovision's most iconic performances ranging from Lordi to Abba.
