A street has been closed off after a water main burst.
Catchdale Moss Lane in St Helens has been shut both ways due to the incident. The closure is close to Howards Lane to the East Lancashire Road.
Photos taken by the ECHO show that part of the road has collapsed and water has flooded down the banks and into the field.

A spokesperson for United Utilities said: “We are currently dealing with a burst water main on Catchdale Moss Lane in St Helens. We have been able to reduce the impact to customers through network changes and the use of our water on wheels tankers, so most taps should be flowing as normal.
“We apologise for any disruption caused, and will provide updates on our website unitedutilities.com as our teams work to carry out the repairs.”
