Fire crews rushed to a main road after an abandoned hotel went up in flames.
Emergency services rushed to Bolton Road in Wigan on Tuesday evening following reports of a building fire. Crews from Wigan, Hindley, Leigh and Atherton fire stations were called to tackle the blaze.
Greater Manchester Police officers were also in attendance. A cordon was in place while fire crews dealt with the incident, but footage shows huge flames from the derelict Rockleigh Hotel, Manchester Evening News reports. The hotel has previously been described as an "eyesore".

One person, who said it was "massive", added: "I was working and then I could smell the smoke. I came outside and that’s when I saw the fire and the wind was blowing smoke my way.
"It was massive. About three fire engines drove down. I think it’s an old building, nobody lives there.”
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) confirmed: "Just before 7pm this evening (Tuesday 23rd January) firefighters were called to reports of a building fire on Bolton Road, in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan.
“Four fire engines from Wigan, Hindley, Leigh and Atherton fire stations arrived quickly at the scene, which involved a former hotel building. Crews wearing breathing apparatus are using hose reels to make the scene safe. GMFRS remain in attendance."
