Coronation Street's Samia Longchambon has set the record straight after fans thought she showed off a new tattoo.
The soap star is renowned for her role as Maria Windass on the Cobbles. The character has been at the centre of the action this week as her son, Liam Connor, has been targeted by bullies.
Samia's life away from the Cobbles is fortunately less turbulent and she regularly shares updates with her fans on Instagram. She has taken to the social media platform to answer some questions about Maria's wardrobe on the show.

The 41-year-old showed off a patterned turtleneck jumper that is a staple of Maria's wardrobe and said: "Every time I (as Maria) wear this top on @coronationstreet I get messages saying it looks like I’ve had a neck tattoo.. should we ditch it or keep it?! Tell me below… you can decide Maria’s wardrobe on this one…
"Ps I also get loads asking where her long green coat is from.. it’s @riverisland @asos but not sure if they still do it."
Samia received the backing of her co-star Sally Carman, who said: "Keeeep! Also, I love that coat." Other fans were in agreement to keep the patterned jumper.
Liz posted: "Keep it Maria occasional removable neck tat… I mean why not !? "
Vishal added: "I think we should keep it. Nice design"
Amy commented: "Keep it Maria!!"
