Overflowing bins and dodgy internet in "high-quality" student accommodation are leaving students and their parents out of pocket.
The parent of a first year student living in Copperas House, on Copperas Hill, contacted The ECHO after trying to contact the owners of the property, Urban Sleep, about a number of issues. The parent, who asked not to be named, said his daughter had mentioned to him that the bins in her accommodation were overflowing regularly.
It wasn't until a few weeks later when he visited the accommodation he saw the bins overflowing and dozens of bin bags and pizza boxes all over the floor. He took a video of this on his mobile phone before trying to contact Urban Sleep again.

The parent said: "This is her first year in university and even though we're only from down the road she wanted to live in halls and have the experience. The halls said there were "high-quality" and it's costing us £7000 a year.
"She told us about the bins overflowing and rubbish being everywhere, but it wasn't until we went to visit that I saw it for myself. They were overflowing and they were even in the way of the fire door.
"My daughter said she hasn't seen anybody come to collect the bins once, and neither had anybody else. This is when we tried getting in touch."
As well as issues with rubbish, students have been struggling to connect to the accommodations "fast internet". The parent who got in touch with The ECHO said he has been paying £30 a month since October to make sure his daughter can hotspot her computer to her phone to complete coursework.
He said: "It's not acceptable. This accommodation said it was inclusive of 50mb of internet and she can't get it at all in her room. The only response we have had is that they are fixing it, but it's still not working.
"She's having to use a hotspot to complete her work and we're paying £30 a month so she can."
When approached by The ECHO Urban Sleep declined to comment.
