But today, they serve as a window to our past, from where we shopped to events we went to, how we dressed and more. A lot has changed in the world, and in our city itself in the last two decades.
And while the noughties doesn't feel that long ago, until you remember 2003 was the year Finding Nemo hit cinemas, singer Olivia Rodrigo was born and the last episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer aired. But these images, from our archives and beyond, are a window into Liverpool at the time – and as we say goodbye to 2023, we've decided to revisit these photographs of Liverpool 20 years ago.
