The student scene in Liverpool has always been one to beat.
Liverpool hosts a number of impressive universities, with the University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores and Liverpool Hope all in the city centre it means potential students are spoilt for choice in where they go to further their education. However, no matter which university you decide to go to, there are some things that all three sets of students will definitely have in common.
Nights out in the city are definitely ones to beat, with the student culture across the city centre being top class, from messy nights in the Raz to remembering days of the week by which club you should be heading to.

Here is a list of 23 experiences we are sure past and present students will recognise.
22. Days of the week are remembered by clubs
Level Wednesdays, Heebies Thursdays, The Raz Mondays – you get the idea
21. Getting student discount at Revs
There are many places students get discount but getting money off alcohol and food in Revolution is a winner
20. Lost
Most current and past students will have been to Lost with its buzzing venues and crazy music
19. The dash to the Liverpool Central Library
Running to Liverpool library at 8:30am because Sydney Jones and Aldham Robarts are already full during exam season it's a tiring activity most students will have participated in.
18. Baa Bar
If you get in you reach the holy grail of random shots that are either absolutely delicious or a concoction of awful spirits.
17. The Grand National
What a time to be a student in Liverpool – and it's always on just after the student loan drops.
It's a chance to get out your casual clothes for the weekend and head to the promised land where you get glammed up. You blow your entire student loan in the hope of winning a bit back and spend the ret of our money on pints of lager and bottles of prosecco.
16. 'Quadvods'
Slaters and Faculty for Quadvods. Enough said.
15. Ink Bath
Are you even a student if you don't get an obligatory picture in the "Ink" bathtub?
14. Carnage
The infamous pub crawl which all students know about.
13. Mount pleasant or Mount Everest?
The walk to university lectures that would leave you dripping in sweat.
No student will ever forget to long and arduous trek to class with a hangover. When you finally got to your building it was like you'd just completed a three-day hike.
Possibly the most memorable part of university for some of even the fittest students.
12. The queue for Level
As a student in Liverpool you will know all too well that the queue for Level is actually longer than the actual night out.
Albeit a tedious part of the night it often pays off with you staying there till it's light outside.
11. Nabzy's
At the end of the night there's no better drunken scran stop than Nabzy's.
10. Concert Square
When there's the tiniest bit of sun, head straight to Concert Square.
9. Paddy's Day
No matter where you are from it is a student must to go out and celebrate the Irish festival
8. S**t Shirt Social
Wednesday is dedicated to the weird and wonderful ideas that come from university socials.
If you are apart of any society in Liverpool universities, you have probably experienced a "sh*t Shirt" social, golfing social or Baywatch.
Trust us though, there are worse.
7. Soho Shishas
Every student will know of the cloud of Shisha smoke that resides in the beer garden of Soho
6. The John Foster building maze
If you are a Liverpool John Moores student you will have most likely faced the monster that is the John Foster building.
Its confusing room layout is set like a maze, and you probably won't even grasp it by third year.
5. You've probably done Shiverpool
A firm favourite on the tick list of student things to do on Halloween especially
4. The queue for Medication
Based inside the Nation building, Medication was the student night out every Wednesday.
It was so popular, queues would wrap around the building and no matter how many times you promised yourself you'd leave pre-drinks to get in line early, you never actually managed to.
3. Heebiejeebies Thursday
What used to be quids in would be a brilliant night of cheap drinks and endless dancing.
The basement was always home to some chaotic scenes and you'd rarely leave without a story to tell during your 9am lecture the next day – if you made it in that is.
2. Mad Mondays
The start of the freshers events that saw you either make friends for life or go home ridiculously early for enjoying yourself that little bit too much.
It was one way to kick off getting to know the people in the city, even if you didn't always remember it as you banished those nerves.
1. Getting a Raz Cap
You will wear it for the rest of your life, just to show everyone you have in fact been to The Raz.
