Emergency services have taken over a busy city centre road after a two car crash.
Merseyside Police were called to Hunter Street, near the Junction of St Anne Street in Liverpool City Centre at 9pm on Thursday, December 14, following reports of a crash. Once officers arrived at the scene they found two cars, including a grey Mercedes, were involved in the incident.
At least seven police vehicles, including Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit cars, were called to the scene along with the North West Ambulance Service. Police have confirmed one person suffered slight injuries and was being treated at the scene.

No arrests have been made at this time. Pictures from the scene show police cars blocking traffic heading from Islington towards St Anne Street while the vehicles are recovered from the scene.
It appears traffic traveling up Hunter Street and onto Islington towards Tuebrook are able to pass using one lane.
