A Volkswagen car ploughed through the front of the Edge Lane Boots narrowing avoiding a number of terrified shoppers.
Merseyside Police confirmed to the ECHO that emergency services are at the Liverpool Shopping Park on Montrose Way, Edge Lane, following reports a black Volkswagen Tiguan had smashed through the front entrance to Boots. A spokesperson for the force said officers first received reports just after 2pm today, Thursday, December 7.
Further enquiries established the car was involved in a crash with three other vehicles before it drove into the store. No injuries were reported to the police and a cordon is currently in place on Montrose Way whilst emergency services remain at the scene.

A spokesperson added: "Witness and CCTV enquiries are being carried out in the area. If you have any information on this incident, please contact @MerPolCC online using log 465 of Thursday 7 December."
