A man was stabbed in the leg after an attack in a pub in Wirral.
Merseyside Police received reports of an assault at the George and Dragon Pub on Argyle Street, Birkenhead on Thursday evening (February 9). Once officers arrived at the scene they found a man was stabbed in the leg during an attack at the premises.
The victim was rushed to hospital for treatment of his leg. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A 51-year-old man has been arrested after the assault and was taken to a police station where he will be interviewed by detectives. Forensic examinations are being carried out at the scene and house-to-house inquiries are taking place.
A cordon is in place surrounding the pub, with at least five police cars remaining at the scene.
