Two men have appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man was shot near a skate park.
Lancashire Police were called to Birch Green Road in Skelmersdale at 6.11pm on Wednesday, November 9 after reports of a gun being fired. A man in his 30s was found with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Cole Kelly, 22, pleaded not guilty to the charges put to him at Preston Crown Court on October 31. His co-defendant, Warren Williams, pleaded not guilty to the same charges at an earlier hearing, LancsLive reports.

The pair will stand trial on January 2, 2024. Kelly, of Inglewhite, Skelmersdale, and Williams, 20, of Broad Lane, Kirby, will remain in custody until the trial in January.
