Lidl has issued a ‘do not eat’ warning to shoppers after one of its products was recalled.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issues recalls for a variety of reasons, including when products contain allergens that are not disclosed on the packaging or if plastic is detected in the item.

When a product is recalled, for any reason, the FSA shares details on what you should do if you have bought the item, as well as detailed information on why the item has been pulled from sale.

Lidl GB is recalling Deluxe Red Cabbage with Apple, Dried Cranberries and Spices because it contains milk, which is not emphasised (in bold) on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

This affects all date codes and batch codes in the 480g pack size.

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. For more information, please contact Customer Care on customer.care@lidl.co.uk or 0203 966 5566.
