These photos have gone unseen for years

Lost photos offer a fascinating glimpse into life in New Brighton, captured over 48 years.
For decades, New Brighton has been a haven for tourists. In the summer months especially, people from would clamour onto packed Mersey Ferries for a chance to bask on New Brighton's sandy beaches, dance the night away in the Tower Ballroom or enjoy the rides at the funfair.
But these photos, taken as early as over 80 years ago, show what the area looked like at different moments in time. Courtesy of our archives, Mirrorpix, these photographs have been unseen for years and were taken between 1947 and 1995.
