Van Dijk said this campaign would include donations to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. He said: “Don’t forget, you can purchase one of these water bottles in all McDonald’s restaurants where profits go towards the Ronald McDonald House Charities UK.
“This includes Alder Hey House in Liverpool that’s next door to the hospital that me and my Liverpool teammates often visit. When the hospital is looking after the children, the House and its amazing staff look after the families.”
Van Dijk’s signed water bottles are located at the McDonald's in Speke Retail Park.
Tony Higdon, who owns and operates six restaurants in Liverpool, said: “We’re huge fans of Virgil and it means a lot that he’s supporting our Ronald McDonald House Charities UK water bottle fundraiser, raising awareness and vital funds for an incredible Charity.
