Anyone with common skin conditions could be eligible for disability benefits.
Millions of people across the country are eligible for the disability benefits paid by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). But there are some conditions people may have where they are eligible for extra payments.
Those with certain skin conditions could get up to £100 a week extra in their bank accounts, but may not realise it. The benefit could help with day-to-day costs such as food, rent and childcare, North Wales Live reports.

From impetigo to certain infections, here are 25 conditions that could mean you are eligible:
Infections and parasites:
- Cellulitis
- Impetigo
- Infections – Other / type not known
Papulosquamous and inflammatory rashes:
- Acne vulgaris
- Eczema – varicose
- Eczema (dermatitis)
- Papulosquamous and inflammatory rashes – Other / type not known
- Psoriasis
- Rosacea
- Urticaria
Bullous disease:
- Bullous disease – Other / type not known
- Dermatitis herpetiformis
- Epidemolysis bullosa
- Pemphigoid
- Pemphigus vulgaris
Diseases of blood vessels/lymphatics:
- Blood vessels/lymphatics – Other diseases of / type not known
- Leg ulcers (arterial)
- Leg ulcers (venous)
- Lymphoedema
- Pressure sores
- Venous insufficiency – chronic
Diseases of collagen and elastic tissue:
- Collagen and elastic tissue – Other diseases of / type not known
- Ehlers Danlos syndrome
Two other categories list 'Burns' and 'Skin disease – Other / type not known' as eligible conditions. If your specific condition is not listed it may still be worth checking if you fall under the 'other' category.
