(Macgregor) Our dear Mother, Joanna, passed away peacefully at home in Shalford Mill on Wednesday 20 September 2023. She had lived at the mill for over seventy years. Aged 97 she was a mother to one son and four daughters. She had eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Her lovely free spirit will be missed by us all. She gave her body to medical research. Memorial celebration at 11.30, 24 October at St Mary's Church, Shalford. Wild or garden type flowers only.

Eileen passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Woodlands Hospice.
Devoted wife of James (Jim), cherished mum of Rose & June, amazing nan to Laura, Victoria and James and great gran ('little nanny') to Zack. We have lost our rock, heartbroken family and friends will greatly miss Eileen. Cyril DOHERTY (Cy)
Cy It is with deep sadness that the family of Cyril Richard Doherty announce his passing on Sunday September 10, 2023 at the age of 82. Cyril (Cy) was born in Birkdale (Southport), Merseyside to Richard Doherty and Christina Marshall. Cyril studied math and statistics at Liverpool University attaining a BSc.
He was assistant registrar at Sussex University and was seconded by the civil service / foreign office. He then worked at London University's registrar's office. He also worked on the Royal Commission into Education under the Thatcher Government. He later lived in Cambridge and worked at Cambridge University as Senior Assistant Registrar and Academic Planning Officer until his retirement. Cyril relocated to Chester where he enjoyed retirement. He travelled to Canada on many occasions to visit family, enjoyed visiting other countries including France, Cambodia and Vietnam to name a few. He was also a cancer survivor. Cy passed peacefully with his friend at his side at Countess of Chester Hospital after a brief illness.
Cyril is survived by his brother Keith Doherty, sister-in law Ann, nieces, Nicola (Michael), Joanna, and Kate, and grandsons Robert and Andrew, his friend Steve, and his friends at the Marlborough Arms (Chester) and The Eagle (Cambridge).
To honour Cyril’s wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation.

He loved to make people smile & was an expert at one liners! He wasn't afraid to be silly & his family loved that about him. We can't forget to mention his love of sport, in particular his lifelong support of Liverpool Football Club. He would often shout at the TV because he was so caught up in the game he was watching. (Brittles) (Lilio) Lily died peacefully in her sleep at home with her beloved husband John at her side. She was a dearly loved mum to Denise and Alison (dec'd), a much loved mother in law to Steve and adored Nan to Andrew.
Family was everything to her and she is now reunited with those that have gone before. Most especially her mother Julia and her daughter Alison.

John passed away peacefully at St. Jude Care Home, Blundellsands. Now reunited with his beloved Wife Mary. Much loved Dad, Grandad, Great-Grandad and Uncle. Former Head of Physics at St Mary's college, Crosby approx. 1955-1990.
Requiem Mass to take place at St. Joseph's Church, Crosby on Wednesday 4th October at 12:00pm followed by the committal at Thornton Crematorium at 1:30pm.
