Tesco is adding air fryer instructions to its packaging for the first time.
From Monday, October 2, customers will be able to cook certain items perfectly to air fryer specifications. Four lines of new own-brand chilled potato products will have labels featuring the air fry symbol as part of the back-of-pack cooking instructions.
The products are Maris Piper Chips with a salt & pepper seasoning, skinny fries, BBQ sweet potato wedges and Hasselback potatoes with a garlic and parsley butter.

Three new Tesco own-brand frozen breaded chicken products will also have air fryer instructions – salt and chilli chicken strips, southern fried chicken strips and breaded chicken strips.
Air fryer instructions will become more noticeable in upcoming months as part of a major rollout with them to feature on frozen chips and potato products, burgers and BBQ products, frozen bakery products, chilled bacon, sausages, chicken and salmon, chilled prepared produce and frozen and chilled party food.
