Dad disappears after work shift as police raise concern

Police are concerned for the welfare of a man who was last seen after finishing work.

Michael Burgess, from Runcorn, was last seen at around 1.30am on Monday, September 18, when he finished his shift. The 50-year-old is described as white, around 5’ 7” tall, and of medium build. He has short fair coloured hair and blue eyes.

Cheshire Police are asking anyone with information to come forward after his car was located in the Moorside Court area of Widnes.

Chief Inspector Neil Drum said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for Michael’s welfare and want to ensure his safety. Michael lives in the Runcorn area, although his car has been located in the Moorside Court area of Widnes.

“I urge anyone who thinks that they may have seen him since he went missing, or have CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward. I would also like to appeal directly to Michael, your son is really worried about you, and he wants to know that you are safe and well."

Anyone with any information in relation to Michael’s whereabouts is asked to contact Cheshire Police urgently on 101 quoting IML 1649381.
