A sky-blue Blackpool hotel has been put on the market for the sum of at least £1.1m.
The Royal Carlton Hotel, a 40-bed adults-only property, overlooks the Irish Sea on Blackpool's famous Promenade a short walk from the Pleasure Beach and Blackpool Tower, LancsLive reports.
Showing off an art deco style, a French form of architecture that exploded in popularity in the 1920s and 30s, the hotel enjoys a prominent location close to most of Blackpool's major tourist attractions, including Madame Tussauds, Sea Life, Blackpool Zoo and the annual Illuminations which pass by its front door. Inside the hotel itself is a large lounge, bar and dining space as well as a sizable terraced area to the front, perfect for visitors to enjoy a drink on a hot summers day, sitting 58 covers.

The property is up for sale through Christie and Company, with offers over £1,100,000. It is being sold as the current owners, who have run the business for over 40 years, are looking to lessen their personal workload.
The property has two entrances to the front, with the right one leading to the reception and lift and the left entrance leading to the open plan space that is being used as a lounge bar and dining room for up to 74 covers.
Within that area there is a bar and a coffee bar that's currently operating as a Starbucks. The lounge is the main public space within the hotel and has been used to host cabaret shows in the evenings.
Throughout the Royal Carlton it is relatively modern, in good repair and boasts an appealing decorative style. In the opinion of the agent, the hotel does not need major investment above the usual repairs, maintenance and redecoration.
All of the guest rooms are ensuite, generally including double or twin beds, cabinets, dressing table, chair, wardrobe, flat-screen TV, and hospitality tray. Some of the rooms also have balconies, with a total of 30 standard rooms and 10 deluxe rooms.
Outside, to the left-hand side of the building there is an external glass lift shaft.
The hotel is situated approximately one mile south of Blackpool Tower and just over half a mile from Blackpool Pleasure Beach so it's in an ideal location for visitors to the town. On the Promenade, the hotel is also situated beside the illuminations and boasts unobstructed sea views.
Excellent transport links serve the hotel, with access from the Royal Carlton to the main road, bus station, train and tram stations.
