The M57 is closed in both directions following reports of a "serious crash".
Merseyside Police received a call just after 9pm following reports of a "serious crash" on the M57 between junction six (Kirkby) and seven (Switch Island). The road is now closed in both directions as emergency services work on the road.
It's believed a number of cars are queueing on the carriageway, with National Highways working with police to try put a diversion in place.
