Police have cordoned off a street in the city centre.
Officers have taped off Chatham Street in the Georgian Quarter, with people unable to enter the road from either Myrtle Street or Falkner Street.
Emergency services are believed to have been at the scene for a short time, after being alerted to the incident at 4:45pm.
It is not yet known why the street has been taped off or what the nature of the incident is.

A Merseyside Police force incident manager confirmed that police first received reports of an incident at around 4.45pm today and were on the scene shortly after. There’s around a dozen or so officers here at the moment.
