A man is fighting for life after a crash between a car and a motorbike on a major road.
Merseyside Police were called to East Lancashire Road at the junction of Coopers Lane in Knowsley on Thursday, July 27, following reports of a crash. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a blue Ford and a motorbike had crashed at the busy junction.
The 39-year-old motorbike rider was taken to Aintree Hospital by ambulance in a critical condition. No arrests have been made at this time.

A police cordon is in place along a large stretch of East Lancashire Road between Hewitt’s Lane and Moorgate Road South. Pictures from the scene show a large about of debris in the road.
Accident investigators were seen placing yellow evidence markers around both vehicles. They were also using torches to inspect the crime scene.
The ECHO understands East Lancashire Road will be closed for a number of hours as police continue to make enquiries.
