The older brother of Ronan Keating has been killed in a car crash in Ireland.
Tributes have been paid to Ciaran Keating, who was in his 50s, after he died in a two car crash on Saturday, July 15 in Co Mayo. It is understood his wife was also injured in the incident, as they were allegedly on their way to watch their son play football.
Ciaran's son Ruairi plays for Cork City Football Club. In a statement confirming the death, the club said: "All at Cork City FC are deeply saddened at the passing of Ciaran Keating, father of our player Ruairi Keating.

"We extend our deepest sympathies to Ruairi and the entire Keating family at this exceptionally difficult time. We ask that the family's privacy be respected at this difficult time. Funeral arrangements will be confirmed in due course. May he rest in peace."
The League of Ireland also expressed its condolences to the Keating family. A tweet said: "The League of Ireland is deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Ruairi Keating's father Ciaran. We would like to send our condolences to Ruairi and his family and all at @CorkCityFC at this very difficult time."
Westport councillor John O'Malley passed on his condolences to the Keating family. He said: "We are shocked by this news and are thinking of his wife and children and his extended family."
The fatal crash happened on the N5 at Ballymiles, near Swinford, at approximately 3.35pm on Saturday. The driver of the other vehicle was seriously injured and was taken to Mayo University Hospital.
A man and woman, both passengers from each car, are also receiving treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A technical examination of the crash scene and the vehicles involved has been conducted by Garda forensic collision investigators. Irish police have appealed for information about the crash.
