A crash on the M62 is causing heavy delays and up to five miles of traffic.
On the M62 eastbound, three lanes are closed due to a crash, from J8 A5281 Burtonwood Road (Warrington West / Burtonwood) to J9 A49 Newton Road (Winwick).
There is up to five miles of traffic to J7 (Rainhill Stoops). Travellers are being told to expect up to 45 minutes of added journey time by National Highways.

Long delays due to earlier crash on M62 Eastbound from J8 A5281 Burtonwood Road (Warrington West / Burtonwood) to J9 A49 Newton Road ( Winwick ).
Congestion to J6 (M57 Tarbock Island).
All lanes have been re-opened. Lanes one, two and three (of four) were closed.

90 minutes of delays
There is around 6 miles of congestion approach to the closures which is adding about 90 minutes to normal journey times, according to National Highways.
National Highways said: "If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time. Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey."

Three of four lanes shut on the eastbound side
Three lanes of four are closed between J8 A5281 Burtonwood Road (Warrington West / Burtonwood) to J9 A49 Newton Road ( Winwick ).
A spokesperson for National Highways said: "3 lanes (of 4) are closed on the M62 eastbound between J8 Burtonwood and J9 Warrington due to a collision.
"There is approx. 5 miles of congestion approach to the closures which is adding about 45 minutes to normal journey times."
