70 incredible photos that capture life in Liverpool in the 1970s
Many will remember the city as it looks here
These incredible photos will transport you back to Liverpool life in the 1970s – and remind us of how much has changed.
It was the decade bell bottom pants and ponchos were all the rage, local bands like The Real Thing flew to the top of the charts and we headed to our nearby cinemas to see films like Grease and Saturday Night Fever.
For many it only feels like yesterday and times were hard, but the city has come so far since and there's a lot of things from the time still thought of proudly today. The ECHO recently delved into the archives to share 80 brilliant photos of the 80s – and now we're sharing 70 incredible photos that capture life in Liverpool in the 1970s.
