As well known as online fashion brand Shein is for its extensive range of clothes, it has also become renowned for its more bizarre and unusual items.
In recent years, the retailer has grown in popularity, amassing a whopping 7.3 million followers on TikTok alongside millions more customers. The fast fashion brand updates its site with new products daily, with shoppers able to browse all sorts of new items in a variety of categories – such as beauty, women’s fashion and homeware.
However, there are some sections of the site that are home to some rather peculiar buys. From hamster slippers in its pet supplies department, to selling a nti-slip finger covers and even fish-themed masks, there is no extent to the odd things shoppers can find on the website.

A lot of Shein's 'weird' offerings don't go unnoticed on social media, with the hashtag 'weirdthingsonshein' reaching 1.4 million views on TikTok. The retailer made headlines last month after announcing it will be opening 30 pop-up shops this year – including in the UK.
For the first time ever, bosses made the decision in a bid to pursue its "physical retail strategy". Shein grew to become the world's largest fashion retailer as of 2022. A statement on the official Shein website reads: "SHEIN is a global fashion and lifestyle e-retailer committed to making the beauty of fashion accessible to all.
"We use on-demand manufacturing technology to connect suppliers to our agile supply chain, reducing inventory waste and enabling us to deliver a variety of affordable products to customers around the world. From our global offices, we reach customers in more than 150 countries."
So what are some of the weirdest items available to buy on the site right now? Here's a list of a few we're found.
1. Miniature hand scratchers for cats
This might be a good one for cat owners who enjoy giving their beloved furry friends a scratch on their heads. The mini hands fit on your fingertips and are on sale for £1.49.
2. Invisible toe socks
One shopper left a review of these £4.75 socks, giving them five out of five stars and writing: "Very comfortable socks they fit perfectly! The material is really soft and they stay put."
3. Shark design hamster slippers
One particular item that has been capturing people's attention lately is Shein's pair of miniature shark designed slippers – for hamsters. Priced at £1.75, they come in various different colours and currently have more than 100 reviews.
4. Fish scale embossed costume mask
Going for £5, shoppers can dress up as a fish, or perhaps a mermaid in wake of the new Little Mermaid Disney remake, with this blue, green and pink mask – complete with scales and gills.
5. Low rise booty denim shorts
Shein shoppers recently mocked the online fashion brand for selling a pair of 'denim shorts' that many say look more like a thong. The retailer is currently offering a pair of the 'Low Rise Booty Denim Shorts' for £9.49 – and they really do live up to their 'low rise' name.
6. Toilet charm drop earrings
As unusual as these earrings may be, they have hundreds of glowing reviews, with more than 1,000 happy customers. A pair of the bathroom-themed earrings can be purchased for £1.25.
7. Anti-slip finger covers
Promotional pictures of these anti-slip finger covers on Shein show people using them to browse through their phone, count money, typing on a laptop and writing on a chalk board. A set of 100 is on offer currently for £2.25.
8. Jawline exerciser
This product is said to help make your jawline slimmer, and is on sale for just 75p. One pleased shopper wrote: "It’s very small but helpful I’ve used it for 2 days and I’m already seeing results!"
9. Corn charm drop earrings
Perhaps these would make a great present for someone who really enjoys corn. A pair of the food-themed jewellery is available for £1.25.
10. Food skewer hair clip
One customer described the unique £1.50 hair accessory as "Soooooooooo cute and realistic," while another said: "You don't see this often where someone has food on their hair!"
11. Fake beer belly bum bag
Many amused shoppers have highly rated this comical £4.49 bum bag, including one customer who said it was the "most epic thing I own."
