£1 flat just outside of Liverpool city centre up for sale in 10 days

There are a range of homes in Merseyside that are available for those on a tighter budget.

The cost of buying a home can vary massively across Liverpool and Merseyside, including what you get for your money. Last year, houses in Merseyside had an overall average price of £220,345, according to Rightmove.

However, that price is not universal, and many flats and houses are available in and around Merseyside for those on a smaller budget. We have taken a look at some of the cheapest homes currently available, which have the potential to be a great first home or even an investment opportunity.

All these properties have been listed on Zoopla, and will be going to auction over the next month.

Wright Street, Vauxhall – £1

An en-suite pod room, inside Young Village on Wright Street, has been brought to auction by SDL property auctions. With a £1 guide price and no reserve, it's the cheapest property available in Liverpool at the moment.

The property consists of a living/bedroom area and an en-suite bathroom. The building has 24-hour CCTV in operation with an intercom system and coded doors.
